The International Coalition to Stop Genocide in Palestine (ICSGP) aims to end the genocide in Gaza, halt the incremental genocide in the West Bank, reverse the Nakba across Palestine and help implement the Palestinian demand for self-determination, return and liberation. We aim to do this by mobilizing global grassroots movements, international institutions, leveraging anti-imperialist support from the Global South, guiding global efforts, and influencing states and international bodies to enforce legal rulings against complicity in genocide, occupation, apartheid and the ongoing Nakba. The ICSGP acknowledges that the majority of Palestinians have been exiled from Palestine and constitute a crucial and critical mass of the Palestinian population, which must be included in Palestinian processes and which we commit to defending from global Israeli and Zionist violence, erasure, criminalization and repression.

The ICSGP first came together in December 2023 as a space for grassroots global social movements to coordinate actions and campaigns aimed at bringing about an end to Israel’s genocide in Palestine. Approaching this endeavor from a position of solidarity, our first priority as a coalition has been to ensure that our Palestinian member groups fighting for their sovereignty and right to return determine the language and priorities of our calls for action. Our second priority has been to take the lead from grassroots anti-imperialist organizations from elsewhere in the Global South, in keeping with the imperative to avoid replicating imperialist processes in spaces of antifascist and anti-imperialist struggle.

In the time since our founding, the ICSGP has coordinated and supported numerous international campaigns and actions. In our first campaign, our coalition gathered over 2,000 organizational signatures, from groups collectively representing over half a billion people worldwide, on a letter demanding that states and international bodies support South Africa’s Genocide Convention case against Israel at the International Court of Justice by intervening and taking other concrete actions to end the genocide in Palestine. Since then, we have helped coordinate social movement involvement in campaigns focused on:

  • Fighting Israel’s deliberate use of starvation as genocide
  • Condemning complicit nations, including the United States and Germany
  • Demanding full funding of UNWRA
  • Pressuring UN and its members states to implement ICJ orders
  • Blocking the manufacture and shipment of weapons, munitions and jet fuel using a strategic approach focused on supply-chains
  • Pressuring Latin American and Caribbean governments to take concrete steps at the state and regional levels to end the genocide
  • Amplifying the demands of students and communities worldwide in their encampments and other actions in solidarity with Palestine
  • No Harbour for Genocide
  • Supporting and amplifying global calls to action by member & collaborating organizations
